Course on Endocannabinoid System and Medicinal Cannabis

·     Students will learn to identify situations of illness and disease that can potentially be addressed through treatment with cannabis derivatives, learning the recommended guidelines regarding dosage, pharmaceutical form, among others, which will allow them to implement the knowledge acquired in their professional practice.

·       The key points that must be established with potential patients and their caregivers will be known, such as informed consent, tools for control and monitoring, etc.

·   Communication skills will be strengthened along with teamwork with professionals from other disciplines (for example, during the case analysis, given the diversity of approaches and disciplines, by having students and professionals in the areas of Nursing, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Psychology, Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine).

·  Skills in the management of information technologies will be strengthened (such as applications from telemedicine with the HiCEC tool, among others).

·     In general, students in the course will acquire knowledge in new areas of action related to the medical cannabis industry, having an approach to the sector, given the impact of this new industry in the country.
