Regulatory advances in cannabis and the plans for other entheogens (such as Coca, Poppy, Ayahuasca, Yopo, etc.) in Colombia, as well as in countries in the region and other nations, show a promising outlook in terms of possibilities for economic development, and it is important to have qualified and highly trained human resources to efficiently take on the challenges of making cultivation, agroindustry, product manufacturing, fair trade, and other activities operational and efficient.
A great opportunity is seen from the transfer of knowledge and technology, by channeling the experience acquired in academia, as well as in the cannabis industry and activism sector, offering a curricular program with original content, covering the key points identified in relation to the needs, projections, challenges and possibilities in research, development and innovation, with an academic and productive focus.
Students will be able to efficiently support business owners, entrepreneurs and other academics in the cannabis production sector, as well as be able to delve into and deploy their own portfolio of strategic goods and services inherent to the cannabis production sector, which is diversified, well-founded and dynamically adjusted to the requirements of the sector.
